My first grader!

She's done! Kindergarten is over. Hello summer! And today was just that, a beautiful, warm and sunny day. My girls played outside ALL day long. It has been wonderful.

Here is McKenzie with her sweet teacher yesterday, the last day of school. We loved Mrs. Sattler!

This is Sophia with McKenzie, her very dear friend. They were in the same class this year. They are also in the same primary class and live just around the corner. How lucky is that? We are blessed to have great friends in our neighborhood, school, and church.

McKenzie and Brynn can't wait to make the most of summer. Dad will be home with us, on paternity leave for 6 or 7 weeks. We can't wait.
Now let the newborn madness begin. He's a pretty lucky kid to have such fun and crazy sisters.

Excited for his arrival...

Apologies to my readers (hi mom) that my blog is filled with pictures of me.

A friend of mine asked if she could take some maternity shots of me. I was hesitant, but in the end glad we did it. I am also fortunate that some friends took the time to throw me a baby shower. It turned out to be a beautiful day, fun little party, and filled with goodies for this little boy. I know that he is much easier tucked away inside my belly, but I am still counting down the days until I can hold my little man.

Placenta Previa

I just hung up the phone with my doctor. It is final. I am having a C-section. I have placenta previa, and it just doesn't want to fix itself. I feel a bit robbed, I have to admit. But like so many of my friends and family have offered, I need "to be grateful that he will arrive here safely."

He will be here on June 25th, 2011. That is, unless I go into labor earlier than that. We'll see. For now, I am trying to focus on being grateful, excited, and extremely blessed to have 3 beautiful children.

I am also trying hard to deal with my nesting that is kicking in. Anyone need a closet reorganized?

Mother's Day on the Ranch

We took a trip down to California over Mother's day weekend. It was just what the doctor ordered..a lot of sunshine, relaxing time with family, and FUN. This baby will be here in no time, so we are glad we got one last trip in before his arrival.

Growing Tummies

February Disneyland Trip

This post is for our friends and family that didn't get enough of our pictures on facebook. I am behind on posting these. Our trip was back in February. We experienced a very fun family vacation at Disneyland. I don't care how old I am (we were there for my birthday...I am a nerd I know), that place never gets old or loses its magic.

I am already anxious to return.

Recent Pictures

My blog has been down for a while so I am a little behind. Fun things have happened in the last few months:
-We went to California for Thanksgiving and New Years.
-Evan's brother Luke got married here in the Seattle temple.
-We had a nice cozy Christmas here in Redmond and even played in the snow over break.
-To top it off, we have grown more and more excited to be expecting baby #3. I am finally through the tough part and feel like a new woman. We will find out what we are having in just a few weeks.

We are thankful for another new year, another chance to try harder and do better. My motto for 2011... "Keep Calm and Carry On," the old British saying.
