McKenzie has always been Kenz, Kenzie, Mac, Kenzo,..you get the point. When we gave this sweet baby the name Brynn, we thought "there is no way anyone can shorten this one." Well, instead my dear husband has decided to lengthen it. "McBrynnser." I guess he thinks it goes well with McKenzie. I am really hoping that this one won't stick. :)

Ferry Boat Trip
Yesterday was our church ward's annual Ferry Boat Trip. We took the ferry from San Francisco to Alameda, just across the bay. Once we got there, we ate lunch and hung out at the park all day. Although it was cold and cloudy in the morning, the sun did come out and it turned out to be a beautiful day. I love the SF bay and we love our ward. We had a great time.

When McKenzie saw this commercial last night, she exclaimed "Look- it's Jesus!" Evan and I didn't know whether to laugh or not. Maybe she thinks they mean: "If you follow Jesus, you could save you 15 percent or more on your car insurance."

Another funny McKenzie moment. As she wrapped the towel around her little waste... "Look guys! I look like Daddy."

Fun with Grandma
We had a fun weekend with my mom. We get annoyed with her pulling out the camera all the time, but in the end we are always grateful to have the pictures. Although we did not do anything special, having Grandma around is a nice treat.
Here is grandma helping with bedtime.
Brynn is more interested in smiling than sleeping.
McKenzie playing before bedtime. She was having too much fun. It took her hours to fall asleep. :)

Looking Back
I haven't always loved Fall season. When I was a kid, fall just meant the beginning of a school year. Now when Fall comes around, I think of 3 years ago when we moved back to California. It was the beginning of a school year for Evan. He started his masters program at Stanford in September of 2005. McKenzie was born just weeks before we moved out here to begin our adventures. We had such a wonderful time at Stanford. I miss it all the time. Luckily after he completed his program and accepted a job nearby, we did not have to move far away. In fact, we stayed in our same church ward boundaries. We love our ward! This post is mainly for me, but here are a few pics. I am pretty sure that for the rest of our lives, when fall comes around, I will think of Stanford.
