A Marathon Weekend

Here are some pictures of our trip to St. George and Las Vegas.

The St. George temple:

At the Expo picking up my race bib the day before:
Checking out the finish line on Friday... getting pumped:

Me and Joni at the starting line (yep, I stole a proof pic from the website). It was abt 32 degrees at the starting line so we were very cold! We stripped off some of our clothes at the VERY last second. The rest of the layers we just threw on side of the road as we ran. The race officials picked them up for us. It was so much fun being with Joni. She is a great runner and a special friend!
Coming into the last quarter mile stretch:
Getting ready to actually cross the finish line:
What a feeling!

The sea of people after the race: Two kids later, I finally conquered this marathon.

After cleaning up and eating at Cafe Rio (a Utah favorite), we headed down to Las Vegas. We stayed at the Trump Towers.

We even saw a show called Le Reve. It is a really beautiful and awesome water show with acrobats, etc.

Here he is, THE BEST HUSBAND EVER!! He was an amazing supporter the entire weekend. It was fun to celebrate in Vegas with him. Here we are out to dinner before the show:
Then we headed home on Sunday. We were greeted with this cute sign:

And these wonderful faces:

It was a successful trip!

Congrats! We stood at the finish line last year at that marathon...it was so emotional! I loved seeing everyone finish and seeing that look of accomplishment, like you have. One lady was about to fall over right about 100 feet before the finish line and another lady was going by (much faster) and stopped to basically carry this other lady across the finish line. What a fun thing to be a part of! Great job, you are very impressive :)
