A dear sweet friend of mine passed away last week after battling cancer for three years. She was an amazing person, full of kindness and laughter. She always made everyone around her feel loved and uplifted. I love that when the cancer returned to her lungs she launched a campaign in her home called "Choose to Be Happy."
Catie, I promise to keep our friendship in my heart. You have changed my life for the better because I have indeed been touched by your happiness, warmth, optimism, and incredible faith. Your beautiful smile will live on forever.

that is so sad brooke. i looked at her blog and can't stop crying. it is so very sad. i am so sorry that you lost a friend. she must have been a wonderful person.
She will definitely be missed. I know your heart aches and I am so sorry for that... but consider yourself blessed to have been a part of her life. We have all learned some very valuable lessons from Catie. A true treasure. Heaven is even brighter with her spirit being there.
That is heartbreaking...made me want to squeeze Roger and the kids close to me. I'm so sad for her children that their mommy won't be with them for the rest of this lifetime...I can't imagine having a trial like that.
I'm so sorry to hear about this. Was this the same Catie that lived in Menlo Park? How sad to hear. I read her story. Quite an amazing person!
Thank you for this post Brooke. Other than my mom dying I can't remember crying so hard as I have over Catie. You and I know that she truly was an angel here on earth among us and our world is suffering for the loss of this beautiful woman. Thank you for being a good friend to her. She was lucky to have you in her life.
